fixed portraits

100 ISO

 400 ISO

 800 ISO

 1600 ISO

3200 ISO

1) The best ISO for my picture was the 100 ISO because it looks brighter.

2) My next best picture was the second one (4000 ISO) because it looks the same as the 100 ISO but not exactly.

3) I was close i think. But in my opinion the shutter speed helped me a lot.

4) I learned that ISO helps with the lighting. I will apply a low or median ISO on my portrait depending of the background lighting......also depending is it looks good.

Portrait Project

Portrait

1) The subject in the picture looks happy and interested in something.

2) The content in this picture doesn't really tell a story but it shows the interest or happiness of something

3) I think the picture has the perfect amount of lighting and shadowing. Theres only a little of shadow in the right but not in the whole face.

4) The composition has the rule of thirds but i think i could have added more to it

Portrait Plan

My plan for my portrait assignment is a picture with color and a happy and sad mood around the picture that gives it more emotion than any other picture. (i'll try)

1) I will shoot a picture of Victoria

2) I will shoot in the courtyard under the trees.

3) My background will be the trees and the buildings.

4) The mood i want for my picture is a happy mood.

Portrait Photography Preview

Questions

1) Why is the environment where a portrait is taken an important consideration in portrait photography?

Because the environment gives the portrait more detail and interest to make it look better.

2)Why should portrait photographers use a "Aperture Priority" mode or full manual mode?

Because it can help them wit the lighting if they want it dark or bright.

3)How can portraits reveal a subject's character?

By mood or clothes (also) the background.

4) How can the photographer help the subject while taking portraits?

They can hep the subject by telling them hoe to look like, how tho dress, facial expression and how to pose.

Environmental Portrait

What i liked about this photos is the background and the mood on the peoples faces. I also liked the lighting and the set.

Casual Portrait

I like this pictures because some of them have bright colors with big smiles.

Formal Portrait

I like the way they are able to stand straight and elegant. The black and white makes it look fancier then what it already is. It gives this photos a mood of passion and love.

Photograph Self Portrait

I love this type of pictures too because they are taken by themselves. Also because they can get creative and artistic with themselves.

Rules Of Composition Part 2

Symmetry And Patterns

I picked this picture because it has patterns and symmetry on it such as curves and lines.

View Point

This is an example of  viewpoint because it is taken in a high viewpoint and not eye level view.

Create Depth

I picked this picture because it shows the distance background that creates more depth in the background.

Cropping (Filling The Frame)

I picked this picture because its focusing on the color chairs and nothing else. Its pretty clear that the photographer cropped this picture.

Background

This picture shows that the only thing to look at is the flower because nothing else distracts the person.

Leading Lines

Lines are often what the eye always pay attention to and what most of the times makes the patterns. Also because it makes someone feel part of that place or ride by looking at the lines since the eye focuses on these type of things.

Framing

This picture draws the attention to someone easily because its naturally with flowers and the sun in the background.

Rule Of Thirds

This picture isn't in the center because its more iterating to see the whole thing than just the water drop

Balancing Elements

Placing the boat on the corner makes the picture more interesting like the rule of thirds.
